“It all started with the sliders I ate at my best friend’s wedding.” Sliders? Unlikely but true. This is the way Jeffrey Sherman became involved in catering. Jeffrey, which operates “Jeffrey’s Flavor” in San Francisco, has been providing sliders (and other catering needs) to the city by the bay for almost 5 years.
All good caterers, of course, have their own special marinades and rubs. I asked Jeffrey, an expert griller, about his special flavor. Jeffrey, for many years, has sworn by a dry rub recipe from John Willoughby and Chris Schlesinger’s cookbook The Thrill of the Grill.
Jeffrey’s Flavor, which can be booked for events by contacting jeffrey450@gmail.com can handle everything you need from corporate breakfasts & lunches, conferences for thousands, holiday fare, specialty stations, complete bar set up or your wedding menu.
Jeffrey, who originally hails from the Midwest, Kansas City, Missouri, finds that catering allows him to express himself in so many ways as his clients provide him with the tools and directions to guide him toward making “the ordinary into the extraordinary.” Jeffrey is looking forward to the 2012 Catersource Conference and Convention because he says that he plans to try new drink recipes for the coming year and hopefully expand to provide authentic ethnic cuisines.
One thing is for sure, Jeffrey will continue to cater sliders and as he enthusiastically said, “I plan to revolutionize sliders.” Although he wouldn’t divulge more information, we are confident that Jeffrey’s Flavor will continue to create magnificent experiences for San Franciscans and the entire Bay Area event-going community.
