Here Blue Ribbon BBQ goes over some tips on how to setup a propane grill.

Today, we’re here to talk about the … how to hook up, properly, hook up a propane grill. And we just happen to purchase a couple of really neat, easy to use 120,000 VTU propane grills with radiant heat and… Bakers and chefs and I’m really happy with the way it worked out. It were easy to set-up and a… with 2 man easy to load into a van and take to a cater job and make sure you have [??] the features on this grill.
Start by how easy it is to hook up the propane. (cough) You know, you no longer need a large wrench to hook this up. The only downside is it this grill takes, its got [??] 8 burners so its gonna take 2 propane bottles to power all the burners. But when you get them all going, it’s super hot.
So, basically… I probably use a…. 4 of the burners on high, when I’m grilling and then leave the other side really cool so I have a place to let the meat rest. Each side has its own dedicated regulator and there are 4 burners that go along with it. And it’s got an electronic ignition which is really nice. You no longer have to stand there and light it with a match and burn your eyebrows which I’ve done many times over the years.
Propane bottle, really nice feature on this is that it’s got a hook… that it hangs from, and it sets into the bottom here. Just by simply, setting the bottom frame there and moving the hook in and hangs all by itself and kind of a natural hanging thing. When you hook this up and hand tight it. Voila, that’s it.
Another thing I really like about this grill is when you… its got a built in cover. When you open up the cover, you got about 8 feet work space here. See, you can set your meats and your sauces and things on there, and it’s got a lid on it …. it catches all those, you know, spills and things like that.
Plenty of work space, it also got a wing guard. This is really cool because… on a day like today, where the temperature is kinda cold, if it’s breezy, it takes forever to heat anything up.
So, let me show you how easy it is to light this thing. Basically, just turn on one of these things on high and uh… [??] and listen to the click… that’s it. [??] it… Now you just turn this on and they automatically light. That’s half to grillin’ right now, in a matter of seconds.
It’s also got a convenient set of legs on. When you break these things down, you can actually remove the grill top from the legs and fold the legs down, and then the grill is a total of like 12 inches tall. So, you can slide it in your car or a van, much easier than the Big John grill and the [??] grill that we have. Those things are big and cumbersome, hard to move around. So, this one got a lot of convenience…is to…. Really like it, looking forward to busy catering season. I think the novice users will find this a lot easier. I think, that you know, charcoal is much more difficult thing to work with that controllable. This here, easy to start, easy to hook up the gas, and easy to control. It’s almost like being in your home kitchen.
Bakers and chefs, thumbs up to you!
